Weekend Trip

Well I took a day off last Friday and decided to drive to Oklahoma to visit my sweet boyfriend. He is working with a refinery in Pauls Valley, OK. Well, he had to work each day I was there, so on Saturday I drove over to Ada and attended the Quilt Show. I really enjoyed that and bought some fabric and a book. Will post more on the book later. Then I drove up to Oklahoma City to visit with my best girlfriend. The directions she gave me was take the downtown exit and follow the signs to Bricktown. I thought these are pretty sketchy directions, but oh, well, i will go with the flow. Well, I parked the car, walked across the street and then called her. Guess what? If I hadn't crossed the street, I was right in front of where she was! Amazing! We had the best time at the Oklahoma City Arts Festival. We walked around looking at all the art and listened to a few bands and drank beer while we walked around. This picture is of a very unique sculpture of the three little pigs and us. We left the Arts Festival and went to eat a Mexican place. Of course, me being the Texas gal and a Mexican food lover, I was cautious. Anyway, it was very good and located on the canal right down town! Don't you love that wind blown look! I am in the dark pink!
It was the best weekend I have had in years! Got to see my sweetie and hug my one of my best friends! What a deal! I am still smiling!
